EVERY DAY IS A GIFT

One of the things I noticed in these people was a kind of intense gratitude about being alive and a determination not to let even one day go unappreciated. Joel, in his sixties, told me that for many years he had been starting and ending his day with a ritual. “Every morning I wake up and say a little prayer-thank you God for another day. Being a scientist, I am so in awe at existence when I think about this miracle we are living; about me as a conscious entity, here in the Milky Way with this sense and capacity. I ask God to not let me squander this day, but that as I go through my day I will be aware of what a gift it is to live. At the end of the day, before I go to sleep, I recount all the good things that happened, however small, and say thank you for this day.”

Seneca, the Roman philosopher, said that “we should count each day as a separate life.” Each day is not a step on the way to a destination, it is the destination. We begin to live the moment day and choose not to squander that single day, not to ruin it by living in the past or the future. First we need to make sure that we are living our life rather then simply planning our life. If we are not careful, we find ourselves forever getting through things on our way to what we think will bring us happiness. We may find ourselves continually telling ourselves that we will be happy if or that we will be happy when. It is not that we should not plan or yearn for things we have not yet achieved or experienced, but rather that happiness is always found when we are able to live in the present moment. In this regard, my dog has been one of my best teachers. Each day when I am not traveling, my dog molly and I take a walk up the side of the mountain where we live. For forty minutes we walk straight up and then walk back down. After taking these walks for several years I came to an interesting realization. My dog was enjoying our walks far more than I was!

For me, the goal was simply to get to the top of the mountain and come back down. The walk was not to be savored but to be gotten through. I was walking in order not to get exercise and hopefully to live a long life rather than seeing the walks as important in themselves. Molly, however, enjoyed our walks immensely. If we encountered another dog, she would stop and greet it. If she saw something interesting, she would stop and explore it fully. She spent most of our walks “smelling the roses” while I spent most of our walk imploring her to “come on, lets get going” on my dutiful march to my goal. She was living the moment, I was getting through it. After coming to this realization, I committed to taking our walks the way she took them. Since then if we meet a neighbor on our walk, I will often stop and have a good conversation; if I catch a mountain vista or see a beautiful flower; I will stop to enjoy it fully; and if I am lucky enough to run into a friend, I take time to catch up instead of getting to my destination. It has become a metaphor I live my life.

CHOOSING TO BE IN EVERY MOMENT

Max, a man in his sixties, told me about a man he encounters each day on his walks with his god. “There is a man I meet when I am walking my dog. He is well into his eighties and still actively involved in a whole variety of things in his life. When I meet him and ask how he is, he always responds in the same way with a resounding enthusiastic I’m Here! I know that what he really means is that I am grateful to be alive and I recognize what a tremendous gift it is.”

When he told me about that man, I thought of all the people I have met over the years who, then asked how they are doing, say something like: “Well, I’m here, anyway.” Often said with a kind of resigned sadness, what they really mean is I would rather be somewhere else but I’m here. What I learned in such conversations is that happy people are fully here, wherever they are, whatever they are doing.

Max had been a theater critic for decades sat through hundreds of performances. He told me about the many performances at which it was hard to be fully present. “Sometimes I would be reviewing a play, and it was so bad that I would think this is an incredible waste of my life. Then I would realize that I was not going to get that two hours of my life back, so I would find something interesting to enjoy in the play. If we want to live fully, we must banish the word BORING from our vocabulary; in each moment we must simply be fully there and take all that moment has to offer.”

LIVE THE MOMENT

Life lived for tomorrow will always be just a day away from being realized. – Leo Buscagila.

If you listen to two hundred people talk about their lives, including people who come from races and backgrounds different from your own, you begin to sense the deep common threads of human journey. Often, people from very different backgrounds use almost identical words to describe their unique human experience.

One of the phrases I heard most often in these two hundred conversations was “it all goes by so fast.” Elsa, in her seventies, perhaps expressed what many people told me in a variety of ways: “When you are young, sixty years seems like an eternity. But after you have lived it, you realize it is but a moment.” We believe we have forever, but soon we realize this is not so.

If life goes by quickly, then one of the secrets to happiness is to get more out of the time we have, to find a way that each moment and each day become great gifts. Thoreau called this “improving the nick of time.” Listening to the stories of people’s lives, I came to see the fourth secret is to live the moment.

Sometimes your joy is the source of your smile, but sometimes your smile can be the source of your joy. – Thich Nhat Hanh

At its simplest, live the moment means to be fully in every moment of our lives, to not judge our lives but to live fully. It means that we must not focus on the past or the future but experience each moment with gratitude and purpose. It means that we recognize that we have the power in each moment to choose contentment and happiness. As I listened to people, I came to believe that through this secret, live the moment, they were telling me to judge my life less and enjoy it more.

To honest, all my life I have heard that one of the secrets to happiness is to live in the moment, but I am not sure I knew what it meant until I had these conversations. Living the moment does not simply means something far more significant. The first thing I learned is that wise people see each day as a great gift.

IN THE MIDST OF UNREST

Her citizen has given up everything as she has failed her citizen the government has failed so she has lost the grip on her citizen as the land become to hot to live in, so alarming the rate of security is at stake as series of round table talks are going on day in day out yet no profitable fruitful result we’ve gone to the media both electronics and the print.

 

For how long yet in the midst of unrest the long last standing problems lingers on, claiming lives and property insecurity in the land everyone for himself/herself and God for us all, no jobs the common man out there feels the heat most the problem is compounding racing towards the boiling point, children are dying turning parent to childless and turning children to orphans, our youth into constituting torts in our society and the rich are getting richer the poor are waxing strong in begging. In the midst of these unrest

 

No matter the happening around today the storm may seems to be there and threaten to swallow the ship alive and there’s seems no hope but in the midst of the storm peace will suffice in the midst of unrest there is will be rest, wait don’t lose hope believe again that there’s a new day coming there will be a fresh breathe hope.

 

The system will work fine our education system will experience constant running void of strikes, our health sector will receive transfiguration recover her lost glory, the power electricity will reformulate back to function the way it should, the government will perform breaking away from the past then we can smell again the storm will be over and the bird we come out alive to sing again and there will be fresh new breathe of hope in the midst of unrest.

 

We can create power, we can fix the series of unrest, we can bring back the good old days, we can recover the lost glory of the nation changing our state to what we’ve dream of, we break the jinx finishing strong and we explore the unexplored yet all this is possible in the midst of unrest.

 

Believe again cause there is hope we can create it we can make it happen we don’t believer in disappearing thought we are believer of believes it starts within believe it again if you are ready will can change the world is in our hands to create the kind of the world we want, we’ve been on that spot for so long going with the slogan “it will get better” has it gotten better since the inception of that slogan to change we’ve got to be passionate about change we seek.

 

Forget the past build on the future lets stop waiting for government we can do it without them let the peace starts from you and let it flow out to the next person besides. In the midst of unrest, rest will come forth.

TWO THINGS WE WANT MOST

It seems to me that there are two things we want most as human beings. Freud theorized that the primary human drives were to seek pleasure and to avoid pain. As the result of spending my lifetime not with psychiatric patients but meeting thousands of people across many continents and listening to their stories, I believe Freud was wrong, very wrong.

In my experience, the two things humans want most are to find happiness and to find meaning. “Happiness” is often thought of as a frivolous word, as in “don’t worry, be happy” (meaning blissful unaware). We may think of happiness as a temporary state of feelings good brought on by pleasure such as food and sex.

 

By finding happiness” I mean that every human being wants to experience joy and a deep sense of contentment. We want to know that we lived fully and experienced what it means to be a human being. Joseph Campbell put it this way: “I think that what we’re seeking is an experience of being alive, so that our life experience on the purely physical plane will have resonances within our own innermost being and reality, so that we actually feel the rapture of being alive.”

These doses not mean a permanent state of bliss but a day-to-day contentment and joy that create the experience we call happiness. At the end of each day, and at the end of our lives, we want what my grand father called a “good tired.”

But happiness is not enough for us as human beings. I believe we also want to find meaning. If happiness is about the day to day experience of contentment and joy, meaning is about the sense that one’s life has purpose. Victor Frankl, a student of Freud and a survivor of the Nazi death camps, suggested that the search for meaning is the ultimate human drive. We want, most of all, to know that it mattered we were here, to find a reason for being alive. Some call this a sense of purpose; others might say it is about leaving a legacy or finding a calling. To me, ‘meaning’ is about connection to something outside ourselves. Meaning is about not being alone, because if my life has meaning, it is connected to something and someone beyond the self.

Happiness is about the moment of our lives; meaning is about our sense of connection. Perhaps if we were not causes us to want to be connected, to know that it matters that we were here.

FINDING MEANING…DYING HAPPY

Why do some people find meaning and die happy? What are the secrets to finding happiness and living wisely? What really matters if w want to live a worthy human life? These are the questions this article seeks to answer.

 

To live wisely, we must recognize that there are two fundamental truths of a human life. The first is that we have a limited and undefined amount of time it may be 100 years, it may 30. the second is that in that limited and undefined amount of time we have an almost unlimited number of choices of how to use our own time the things we choose to focus on and put our lives. When we are born there is no owner’s manual provided, and the clock begins ticking the moment we arrive.

 

We do not like the word “die” and “death.” Many human activities are designed to shield us from the truth about life; that it is limited, that at least here in the place, we do not have forever. Some of you may have hesitated to pick up a book with the word “die” in the title, fearing somehow that something bad might happen to you for even recognizing the reality of your own mortality. You may even find yourself a bit uncomfortable as you read these words, wishing I might move on quickly to another topic.

 

Still, it is the fact that we die and that our time is limited that makes discovering the secrets to life important. If we lived forever, there would be little urgency to discover the eternity we would surely stumble on them sooner or later. This is a luxury we do not have. At whatever age we find ourselves, death is a distant and far off reality, but having been to few funeral services about a thirty three Kenya, I suggest that death is always close at hand, reminding us to get on with life. Derek Walcott, the Noble Prize-winning poet from St. Lucia, called time the “evil beloved.” On the one hand, we know that time appears evil because it will take from us all that maters to us, at least in this life; on the other hand, time is also “beloved” because it is our very mortality that gives life a sense of urgency and purpose.

WHICH WAY NIGERIA?

Arise oh compatriots Nigeria call obey to serve our fatherland, is time to build our land, as the people have lost faith in the government of the day cause the government has failed her citizen, they have failed below expectation of the people that voted her in. The oath they took and swear to uphold they never stand to defend such as they watch the nation in disarray.

Democracy came to stay on the 29^th day of May, and we rejoice that a new dawn has come but after 1999 the question on every lip was that, are we really practicing democracy? Are we democrat? Or we are just merely deceiving ourselves, chasing an empty shadow within, that can not stand-up right, it is the time to build our land, we can not just sit and watch our heroes past labour being in vain. We have to serve not just mere serving but serving with all our might just as if our life depends on it.

 

The question now is this, which way Nigeria? That is what we should answer. Yes, the state of the nation is alarming the political unrest and mass killing on every state, the rate of massive unemployment, yet the schools keep on pushing out student year in, year out our nation is sick and needs the attention of a physician our nation is dying, killing our brothers bombing is now a child’s play we are unacceptable used to, holding everyone at ransom, the ASSU strikes, the fuel subsidy removal came along putting the nation in total confusion, hmmm which way Nigeria? “Let us save our country Nigeria, let us save it now! I love my fatherland, I want to grow, let us save Nigeria from dying.

 

To build a nation where peace and justice shall reign, but wait my dear compatriots, is that statement is it still true? Have we not deviated from that? Yes! We have built a nation but where is the peace when there is so many unrest that characterize it in every nuke and crannies of the society, fear grips everyone, so cautious of each other, now is no more watch my back, it is me and myself alone, what have we done to our nation? Remember once again to build a nation where peace and justice shall reign. Which way we are heading to?

 

Which way Nigeria! Which way to go, I love my fatherland I want to know which way Nigeria we are heading to? My fellow compatriots we have gone a long way, we can not afford to fail our dear nation. Nigeria is our own and it must be build by us. So compatriots it is time to build our land. Arise o compatriots we can not afford to sit down and complain, because talking, complaining and accusing can not solve any problems, it only worsen the problem change your attitude now, if our government is stealing, destroying, we don’t have to join, all we need is to expose them, once again let us change our attitude. So let us build a nation, don not tear it down we have got a vision we can make Nigeria shine. Which way Nigeria? Is forward for peace.

Setting Goals

There are basically two types of goals: personal and professional ones. Personal ones concern what you set for yourself to do or to become. Professional goals are those you set for your business or profession. These goals are interdependent: you can’t reach your professional goals because the latter have to do with how you plan to make a living, which in turn affects the quality of your personal life. Sometimes personal and professional goals conflicts; you are the one who will have to decide which goals have the higher priority.

 

Goals, too, must be kept alive. A goal you set for yourself five years ago may not be realistic today because of changes in your life and in your wants. Five years ago may have been single with no thoughts of marriage. Yet today you may be married with a couple of children, and your goals may have changed, or should be changed. Your business may have grown at such a fast rate that it achieved in three years what you had originally that it would accomplish in five. So what are the goals for your company now? Yes, goals have to be kept alive; they need revising from time to time.

 

Dreaming is an excellent way to define goals. I have seen people suddenly throw away a job, move miles away, and become involved in something new just because they allowed themselves to dream a bit, and while doing so, they convinced themselves they could make their dreams come true. From Ego to Love

To move from ego to a place of love in our hearts requires discipline, minute by minute discipline. We spend an inordinate amount of time focusing on things that do little to move us closer to our real selves. We work all of our lives trying to be “successful” instead of trying to be more of who we are. Don’t misunderstand me, there’s nothing wrong with material gain. It is natural extension of God’s generosity. Get paid enjoy the fruits of your labour expanding in all areas of life the goal is not to stifle your growth or try to limit your harvest but instead to lead with Spirit rather then ego.

 

Ego is synonymous with fear and fear and love stands opposite each other. Therefore, the journey to the real you will be paved with great difficulty when ego is the navigator. Transformation is not possible in the face of fear because fear itself is False Experience Appearing Real, awareness is blurred in the presence of fear we long for a life full of love, yet we can’t achieve this state of awareness because we are blinded by fear. We look at children, and we marvel at their zest for life when they’re young. We look at them at the sense of sadness, too, because we know what awaits them we know that soon they will join us in the fear based world we are saddened that they can’t stay a little all of their lives as we mourn their innocence yet we also participate in indoctrinating them into our fear based reality. We love them and want them to cling to their zeal for life, but how? How do we do it?

 

We must first do within our own hearts what we wish to teach our kids, friends and loved ones not leaving out our neighbors to lead them to love rather then ego whether we are willing to admit it or not, we’re all secretly longing for a more loving existence we watch the news and read the papers and we shake our heads in judgment at the horrors in the world, yet we do little to create more love and harmony in the part of the world we live in: our homes, school, churches, and communities. We long for the days of old, yet while they’re gone we can create a different level of peace and love in our own hearts and minds. It may not look the way it looked twenty years ago, but it at least is the love we can create right now. And that’s a start.

 

It knows that as long as it can run our lives, we will be immobilized. The ego knows that real love is not a possibility as long as it is anywhere on the premises. It knows that there can be no healing of ourselves or our world as long as it’s around. It seeks to dominate our lives so that we won’t morph into our full spiritual selves but instead will remain spiritual “minis.”

 

The ego create these picture to drive us deeper into a fear-based consciousness and away from a love-based consciousness.

A New Day

Every single day, we have the chance to create something new and powerful each moment we have the opportunity to become more of who we are. I once saw an interview with Academy Award winning actor Tom Hanks where he talked candidly about his rise to stardom. The interviewer asked him how he was able to sang such great parts early on in his career. Tom’s response had such spiritual resonance that I wrote it down on a notepad because that was all I could find at that time. “It’s simple, “he said, “I wasn’t self conscious I could walk into an audition totally myself’ wow! Those words came at a time when I needed them most. Yet after hearing the wisdom of Tom Hanks, I decided that I was going to just “be me.”

 

By being more of who we are, it’s impossible for us to lose. Losing isn’t even a concept that Spirit recognizes. It’s a term that the ego constantly throws our way, though. You’re such a loser you can’t be all of who you are; they’ll think you are crazy. If you are too energetic they’ll think you’re on drugs. Ego wants us to believe that if people saw who we truly are then they’d reject us. Rejection to many people is a form of death, therefore, to be avoided at all times. Had I not been “me” in that audition, there’s a good chance the producers of that show would not have created a space for me on the production.

 

Seen Celine Dion in Concert at Caesars Palace. Her show, “A New Day,” was one of the best performances I’ve seen in a long time, and I was amazes to watch her transform that stage into her own unique world. As I got lost in the experience, I realize that we, too, have that same opportunity every moment of our lives. Through authenticity we got to change the world by showing people what it looks like to be all of who we are. That’s why I’m always amazed and inspired by performers who appear to be totally transparent on stage. Through this period people become less afraid to become who they are.

 

Like Celine we get to choose the characters, select the music, change the setting, pick the props and adjust the lighting to our liking. Each song she sang had a different background and a different feel. We were transported through our time as we all listened to her melodious voice on songs like “Because You Loved Me” and “My Heart Will Go On; the theme from the blockbuster movie Titanic.

 

As I seat right from the comfort of my home, I realize that each day is A New Day for me and us all. We should never have the same day we had the day before. That’s a strategy. With all the world has to offer us and us the world, we should live each day a new. We must seek new ways of loving, new way of trusting, and new way of living. Only then can we begin to know that we don’t need our egos to be our real selves. The ego nurtures sameness. It attempts to hypnotize us into false sense of security through habit that doesn’t feed us

So Long

Each day our world is given into all manner of changes as the world of politics are not left out, everyone wants to have power by all means never caring on whose toe is been stepped on neither whose horse is dodged. The politics of our time for so long are we going to have same issue and same way things are been ran that’s while many have lost faith in the government because the politics of our time is for those who can play according to the tune either you play or you stand aside this is why so many has lost faith in them all so long. Many reforms have come and gone and yet the system still remains the same, to have an office in the site of power you must bribe shade innocent blood and all sorts of indecent dealings. As we look forward for yet another era of going to the poll the question that comes to our mind as been the electorate what should we expect in the next incoming government? Cause for so long the government has been existing, of what impact is them to the ones who elected them into that office.

 

For so long we’ve hard many killings from far and near the four meeting point of the four cardinal point of the country, the various geo-political zones while must we shade blood to have power the power is nothing when the people has no peace, no good road and water, when the people can’t get quality education, when we can’t close our eyes when asleep so while do you let these people to kill one another. Many years has come and gone and yet the status quo is still the same.

 

So long the land has been perverted with all sorts of things befalling the nation our nation is suffering we want a change for a better change, the that change we seek can come or will come if you and I can act right and say no against corruption, election malpractice, injustice, nepotism and tribalism saying yes to change by been the agent of change ourselves yes we can, because we been like this for so long.

 

So long our conscience has been bought by dashing our hope out for just the sake of the gift that was dashed by the so called politician to the electorate, for how long are we going to be like this see any politician who dash you gift that same politician we dash our hope if we entrust our mandate to him/her.

 

How long we will watch our children play away their life instead of been in school, for how long we will watch our graduate idle walking aimless just in search of a job that has never existed, for how long are we going to have child mortality rate just because of low quality health care service in place, for how long are we going to have bad roads causing unwarranted accident and epileptic power driving away investors. For so long we’ve been like this we need a change for a better change it begins with you and I…make it happen now this moment today, so long let change begin with you and me look into the mirror and tell them what you see

After Election…What Next

So much have been said this past weeks of series of debt and a brainstorming political campaign so many have got to know each of these set of people that paraded themselves seeking for a seat in the government house.

 

So many promises should we say is one of the strategy of getting the mandate of the people after election…what next. To some of the electorates there is this believes that the politician will go back from their words now should we say there are empty promises or one of the strategy adopt in getting their into the government house.

 

Election has come and gone calmness return to the city as the noise of loud speakers and jingles here and there has faded away the city is at rest as there is no billboards of aspirant flowing and flooding our cities and its high way now is about time they put their political manifestoes into reality executing the mandate of the people who voted them into power that time is here now.

 

After election comes a serious work going back to the drawing board to see what was left out in the past gone administration what are the lapses and what make the past administration failed to get back the second time the mandate of the people, the past administration failed and perform below administration that’s why she wasn’t able to get back and retain the will and faith of the electorate who voted them into power.

 

What next now that the election is all over and you got the mantle of leadership to stare the affairs of the nation the fate of the nation is in your hands thread with care let all things are done in decency and order live up to expectation because to who much is given much is expected from that person, take time out and reflect on all what you said when you were seeking the mandate of the electorate and work towards doing all what you said many life’s are at stake cause the future of this nation is in your hands.

 

Look there are much work to be done we can’t still go ahead celebrating all victory is won now is not the time for party or indulging in unprofitable ventures but profit oriented project towards creating a better nation for all one that we all can be happy to reckoned with any day any time.

 

Election time is over the vote has been caste and counted the winner has been known and declare the winner so what next, so much anticipation of the incoming government as many hope on them to breath new fresh hope of relief thanking God for the journey so far it was indeed a new day has come. Bring back the wrong assumption putting the masses in total disappointment to execute the mandate of the people after election comes a time a serious time to work I mean real big work no time in idle venture.

You Can Begin Again

Are you blick and blank? You can begin again are you deprived of blessing? You can begin again Are battered and bewether? You can begin again are you crush by the storm of life? You can begin again there is hope for you.

Our thoughts and lives are very tied to the past; we drag with us past our past experience of disappointments, failures and defeats. But in the midst of it all, we can look up, we can cheer up on the basis of the new things the Lord wants to do in our lives. Isaiah 43:18-19

To have and to enjoy a brighter future, we must come to God and ask Him to erase the past from our minds. We are empowered to forget the past and embrace the bright future which the Lord has promised to those who will believe and obey Him. However bad our past, we can begin again. As you take an inventory or look back at the lives you had lived, the unpleasant things that happened to you, the tendency is there to become despondent. But you need to understand that the past is past; there is nothing you can do to change it. On the other hand, you can cheer up because of the new things that the Lord wants to reveal to you. Job begin after he has lost all what he has also peter after denying Christ he came back to begin again also Moses, Naomi, Jonah etc

Standing on the promises of God, we need to expect him to turn our sorrows of yesterday and to create a new beginning filled with joy and excitement. Mourning, sorrow, sadness, sickness and calamities will be things of the past. Out of the ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.

Each day as we wake up faced with the hustling and bustling of the day just to make earns meet to meet up with the three basic necessity of life, as busy as we are or thought to be as some of us go about with saying am having a tight schedule wait, pause reflect cause each day provides us with so numerous opportunity to invest to the existing body of knowledge the question comes what have you contributed to make the world better off then the way you melt it.

What will you die for? If you call it a day today. Will you die for the cause of the gospel of Christ of depopulating hell and populating heaven or for the cause of trying to please the world forsaking Christ in search of nothing but fame what will you die for? is good to die for the course of Christ but also never be someone who gain the world and losses his soul. Gain the world for Christ and humanity and have Christ living within you.

Some many have gone to the grave beyond just like that, what will you die for? Have you succeeded in something or you’ve been busy without nothing to show for it, look out today people of these days they are in an earnest brainstorming session behind close door reinventing and inventing new things while you are just there looking for what wasn’t lost and waiting for God knows when, a lot of things have been done before and when you came look at these;

Arise you’ve slept for so long awake to reality, what will you gain when you’ve slept of 90% of your life in sleeping whiling away precious time that ought to have been use for preparing for the future. If you never discover the purpose and the reason for living you’ve been living a borrowed life someone’s life. Wake up this is the time to start because a lot of time has been squandered wasted and vanished with nothing to look on to and to you is nothing to you.

 

Is it nothing to you that you sleep so long all through the night and 9am in the morning you are still on the bed that is a sign of irresponsibility on your part, while lazy ones are still on the bed up till 9am the great mind are awake since 5am hmmm is such alarming state tomorrow you blame someone somewhere for been unfortunate in life forgetting that you cause it all by yourself due to laziness and idleness.

 

You’ve got to wake up aspire beyond average live beyond that limit who says you won’t go beyond that point no one but you cause no one can make you look inferior without your consent, so the source of life is right there in your hands you have the keys of your future in your hands to unlock the possibility of greater future of unlimited possibilities and so much to benefit.

Paul’s dream of evangelizing the world met roadblocks at every turn. Tightening his grip he declared, “We are hard pressed all sides, but …never frustrated; we are puzzled, but never in despair. We are persecuted but. Never…deserted; we may be knocked down but we are never knocked out!” (2 Cori 4:8-9)

In a quest of seeking for power position then came a period of antagonism and happiness was swept away like the sleep of a night so subtle it went unnoticed where have we lost all the good things of life we once enjoyed swept in sadness, feudal forces were aplomb then they took control and …The nation was looking for a new dawn that dawn the would swept the tears of the weeping creed of her citizens off their eyes rekindling the lost glory of the nation this is a dawn that would provoke a new life to lead life which is liked

 

A nation to ponder have a rethink about this nation where are we heading to for who long we’ve stay at this spot with the saying that “E go better” still the situation still that same old self of itself and then people came to the fore laid their life one today tomorrow one more never thinking of the aftermath and this bloodbath continue and finally the God in heaven smiled and granted us freedom in 1960

 

After the years of independent, are we not like a prisoner which his prison door is open and yet he refuse to come out of his prison yard the aftermath of these freedom is mixture of heaven and hell poised, poised to be heaven if the forces of truth rise to kill the forces of evil that dwells in the mind of people to the nation itself

 

There are darkness and hatred looms in the land unrest in all quarters belonging to the nation itself but killing its glory by throwing them in offense who would have thought or better still like this to be a nation of benevolence yes benevolence where love and life go hand in hand with the desire to kill doesn’t exist in the strand what exists in the strand of mind is happiness may we as a nation be this

Have been around for now quite a while to many places seeing also many faces around what a beautiful people just ordinary people with extra ordinary amount of determination, some makes you cry while some gives you so much joy and happiness that you don’t want to stay away from them for a second so many people have come across in this life as I journey through life each work each day we long for a friend cause friendship is God’s most precious gift to mankind.

Many places…many faces you see them as you walk pass by in the shopping mail, lecture room, public function and place they are just there around you wherever you go so fun to be with they make this life worth living without them how will this world be, some of them not all of them have you ever thought of these? If you are the only one living alone in this world you walk alone as you watch others walk in peers all by yourself alone in this wide empty space, have you? Have been to many places seen so many site and places from the rising of the sun to the going down of the sun many place across the seas, oceans, spring and streams the water bodies and the creature that live in them also the green tropical forest with the savanna not excluding people human of different color, tribe, religious believe and conviction, race and nations people of many faces some got your head others turn your head but we don’t know who got our back or better still who wants us out of the game.

Talking about many faces; as we grow getting more mature and attain that level of knowing what life is all about we get to know that life is more then what we thought it was when we are young at heart. To be nice a guy and wants people to be nice to you, see you’ve got to be nice to people first then in return people will be nice to you, one thing that makes my heart breaks is the people you are nice to will turn around and stab you at the back that’s while sometimes I come up with this statement that is not good to be good at times cause what people tends to do their behavior doesn’t worth it pains me so much.

Many faces the people have come across as I sojourn here on this planet earth, many faces but human being are like season they change when you don’t expect at the slightest unconscious moment you can never tell some are meant to be kept others are not meant to be kept be to be thrown into a trash bin so it is, many faces you come across a person and you are so twice as nice caring, loving, understanding, faithful void of pranks, diligent and committed to a certain goal of been the best of the best you can be not a cheat neither falsehood fellow one who never let the society to detect the space for him/her but you see one thing that befouled me most with this exceptional and wonderful threat some people takes advantage of this loveable being thinking that they are fool why they themselves are smart but you know what to me I call it FOOLISHNESS complete series yeah!

So many faces have seen and come across to you which one have you come across cause they are just there everywhere will go look next to you, you see them just right there staring as if they are twice as nice facially but they weren’t close to what they appear outwardly hmm…Many Faces

A GEM WAS BORN

Something happen some years ago in a far distance land here on this our planet earth, a being was born conceive by a woman the seed of a woman an heir to a generation to bear someone’s name all through out his generation, with a dream so big to rule the world to take charge of the situation not just a being but a gifted being never a no good for nothing fellow never a photocopy but original.

As he grew from infancy into a child a special gift was inputted in him that singles him out from a normal kids around he has an aim, a purpose in life to fulfill the master reason for making him, a child is born for us to love and care for by nurturing his dreams leading such a child in the right for him to achieve the purpose of him existing on earth.

When he was made they found something wrong with him they throw him like a piece of rubbish into an old dark store there mother nature gave him a special power today that child is a world class hero, a national success of which everyone wants to recon with him.

So he is inspite of everything that comes on his way he kept on forging ahead cause deep down inside me there’s a burning desire to tap the rest, to be a space setter, a pathfinder, an hero to generations both born and unborn ‘cos he want to leave footprint in the sands of time…His motto is “Oliver Goldsmith where determination is predominant failure cannot dismantle the flag of success” is always darkest before the dawn no matter how hard today may seems to be there’s light at the end of the tunnel.

Look within you and you’ll see that there still untapped resources and potential waiting to be tap a lot of people today are just living shah! Without no hope for tomorrow only living for today without not having a good plan for tomorrow- (future) live not just for today think of tomorrow…make high while there’s still today prepare for tomorrow it starts today.

Wake up early start early work late hard work never kills but it strengthens the mind, show me a youth who dares to do something worth while and I’ll show a youth who will take the world by suppress if you want to get to your goal in life very fast you got to take one step at a time your friend may reach there before and yet you’ll be successful more then them when you reach your goal much later, remember the first house in a town is not necessary the most beautiful house in that town…think about this!

So we all have a purpose in this life and also everyone has a specific time allocated to him/her to move never limit yourself and those of you who have gotten there never mock those who have not gotten there yet cause no one is created for nothing good neither do any carry the tag “no good for nothing fellow” you are born to dominate, to rule in this life without no exception and all you have to be is yourself never someone else.

Never listen to anyone you are what you think you are see yourself as someone who got courage, determination, innovative individual look away from what friends and family says about you they are not your creator, wake up to reality and open your eyes sleeping child the world is so big that you build your own paradise, see up there can talk as much as those who dares not those who find excuse but those who make the best use of each day as an opportunity.

FOOTPRINT IN THE SANDS OF TIME

Footprint are never made just seating down if you want to recognize you must learn how to work b y taking on every opportunity that comes along your way as you go through life, cause each day offers us an opportunity to invest in our future and if you want to better future a head you’ve got to invest in your today live in view of tomorrow.

Make the best use of the available time work the work take the lead go the extra mile as you see each day unfold be the one that will go out to reach that place where no one has ever reach before be the first and never limit yourself of what you can do because there is more to you then you think never down grade yourself and look so inferior no one can make you look that way without the consent of others so make the best of time why there is still time.

Take today to start out with what you have never wait until you have it all great thing start from small begin never limit to what you can do, remember you are born to impact and dominate no one is born to be a good for nothing fellow look a round you you’ll see there’s many things yet to be done many rivers to cross, land undiscovered, mountains to climb, invention to invent and so many things are waiting to be done.

In our world we live today the world stands aside for a man/woman who knows where he /she is going to and that same world never celebrate a failure but success no one want to have anything to do with failure. So you’ve got to wake up and get working before one day you’ll just wake up and discover that you’ re left far be hind make that decision of rising up from where you are to somewhere you can stand taking the decision that will change the course of your life, by moving from where you now to somewhere better off then where you were yesterday begin with what you have never consider anything too small don’t ever wait for anyone you came all alone into this world you are what you think you are that’s success.

At the door post of my friend (OYEWOLE OYEDOYIN CLEMENT) when I was in school was written this inscription so clear and bold that can catch the attention of all that visited his room that inscription read those “until you’re loaded that’s when you’ll be needed” what a thought driven words so charming and motivating until you’re loaded…hmmm.

The world we live in today are abound to different things happen some are born great others have great entrust upon em’, some are privilege in life, some live in the mood house others live in the glass house yet all are just the same no one is more important or born in a special way but all the same.

Great minds think like no one in our world today wants to celebrate a failure or no good for nothing fellow, when God made man He never made no good for nothing fellow or a fellow without talent, dreams and aim in life because human are made in His likeness He made all things beautiful in His time.

Been loaded is been ahead of the crowd never a crowd chaser, but been up to date you can’t offer what you don’t have is only what you have that you can give out no one will look for that fellow who has nothing that distinguish him from the massive crowd of human no “never consult a coward about war” only if you seek to have a defeat in the battle filed.

Often times I come across people that they say they have what it takes to shake the world that they want to rule their world, the question that comes to mind at this time is did they have what it takes to do such, can they pay the price of greatness cause this days we live in everyone wants to taste the taste of greatness to feel how it felt, everyone wants to be heard out there, taken the world at the storm but do they really have what it takes.

Courage makes you stands out, vision tells you where you’re headed, enthusiasm keeps you going as a propeller does, faith in God believing all things are possible, connection getting close to the right personnel who are far better off then yourself which will in turn help you to reach your goal achieving your dream in life, determination that come what may you’ll get there, discipline yourself deny yourself of certain thing, desire the best in everything you embark on and diligent hard work never kills it strengthens the mind.

Hope comes alive as we enter into this year so filled with possibilities and opportunity to serve humanity with the best of our ability making a mark in the annuals of history, forgetting the year gone by focusing on what the new year bring cause of a truth new thing awaits us this new year what’s your prospect for the new year? Do you have anything in mind? Do you want to go into the New Year without no goal and aim?

Have a desire for the new year never tie yourself to the old year all just because things did not go the way you planned look away from that and forget the failed years of a whole 365 days is never the end of the road for you but a hope of starting afresh above all, since there’s life there is still hope for a better days ahead forget the failed years look towards a fulfilled and better years.

Wow! Welcome the new year has just began in some minutes ago thanks be to the giver of life for making it possible for you to witness this for making you a living prove, so starts out early now and get up get working cause there’s no time to loss in idleness.

Shut the door on the old year and throw the keys away since you’ve found the New Year happy prosperous new year with a new prospect for the new year for you so forget the failed year remember God’s promises they are yes and amen it never fails and it cannot change He is still God.

Making Impact in Life

Fading away like the stars of the morning losing their light in the glorious sun thus will be past from this earth and is toiling only remembered by what you have done, a life worth living is a life worth spent today you are here tomorrow may mean goodbye fading away make today be a glorious passage into a life time of impacting life ‘cos that’s the mean reason why you’re created.

Light in the Dark

Thou the night seems black and blue the storm rages the angry wave are tossing high and it seems it wants to rain as darkness cover the sky make every where in the land dark, hope becomes slim without no shelter or comforter and you feel the end has come your world is crumbling before your own eyes there’s no light not even a ray of light…light in the dark.

 

Friends and family are gone left to face the music all alone all by yourself the question am I only the only kept ring loud and clear in your mind as you lost in thought in your own world, as you seat all alone there in that place alone in tears, thought and scared of what tomorrow will be.

Friends Are Treasure

We like so much so much that we like there company been around us all the time often each day we long to see them, talk to them, feel their pain and to share life’s challenges with them friends are treasure that we treasure them so much cause they make our day

 

Our day without them is incomplete unfulfilled as if we never achieve anything tangible out of that day cause will never see our friends throughout that concluding day, in so many ways they are just friends they make part of our life we can’t just do without them

We have abounded the basic principles of life bringing on ourselves the consequence of the aftermath of our action due to some selfish interest the quest of achieving our worldly and deadly ambition wanting to get rich at all means never want to know how and doing the impossible and evil things just to get rich taking to hostage of our fellow human being “kidnapping” in exchange of an exorbitant fee called ransom.

 

An epidemic has struck the nation, a strategic awful habit of kidnapping just as we want to celebrate the golden jubilee what a bad way to start with one kidnap fifteen shame on Nigeria @ 50 what serbortarch a grievous offense before God and man as Nigeria clocks 50does it worth the celebration? How is it then and today? With all this in the land have we really attain a golden jubilee

 

The booming business today is the business of kidnapping some years ago 1992/1003 there wasn’t anything of such until when oil was added to our sources of revenue that’s when all these problem starts the business of kidnapping everyone now wants to venture into it seen it as a lucrative business after the deeds has been done there goes for demanding of ransom to be paid just to release the victim the abducted collect an enormous fees sometimes the victims are released upon the payment of the fees they demand sometimes they kill the victim after they collected the ransom but the last incidence that broke the Carmel back was the last one that happen “one kidnap fifteen shame on Nigeria @ 50” poor little ones what a pitiable state the state of the nation where are will going from here is there a future for us and the next generation coming.

Musicians, Pastors, Stakeholders, Statesmen, Actors and Actresses, elders, eminent Nigerians, the press (Print and Electronic Media) have talked and talked to the extent of been sold out on the issue of Nigeria the state of the nation jeopardizing our nation for a selfish interest selling the future of our nation oh what a woeful act, a pitiable state…the state of the nation.

 

DARE TO BELIEVE

Close your eyes (not literally just in case you’re driving) but your minds eyes and lets day dream for a while. I beg your permission to dream of what could be. Imagine a public bus driver offering a Policeman the ‘statutory’ N20 and the officer quietly smiles and refuses the offer with dignity of a man of Honor. If dreams were made plastic, we’ll just buy toys. That is just another way of saying “Na yam”. But the reality of things is that a significant percentage of policemen we have today will not refuse the ‘statutory’ N20 note (and if they do it because they only want you to give them more). If most of them will not refuse N20, how will they refuse a N50, 000 bribe? Huh!

But not withstanding let’s dream it as though it were so picture in your mind’s you taking an evening stroll down a street in Oshodi that is as well laid out as the streets you can only find in places like Ikoyi, Lekki, Wuse etc. see a time when you can rely on NEPA to give us 24/7 light so that the whole family does not have to line up at the ironing board every time NEPA flashes us with light; a time when we no longer wonder that “if they take power (light), when will it come again? See a time when we grow up and we can pick up the newspaper and we don’t have to read about our leaders are mismanaging our funds and selling the future of the nation.

Guess what some days ago I read in the Nation Newspaper that N2 Billion Naria had been awarded for generator maintenance for the Presidency and the National assembly. This I didn’t find very funny until I thought Haa! Even in President Yar Adua’s House they shout “Down NEPA” and then he will run to his back yard and start pulling his generator…so don’t worry we are not alone. The suffering in this country cuts across all people, rich or poor, we all use the same roads, the same fuel and the same air. My friend I see a time when we can find heroes and mentors amongst the elders of our land in every area of endeavour and can tell tales of good deeds that our leaders have performed to secure the future of the generations to come.

Let us dream of a time when we all don’t have to be Bankers or Lawyers or Doctors or Engineers to succeed in life, but we can have Statisticians, Beauticians, Artist, Philosophy, Carpenters and Zoologist that are professionals and excel at what they do; a Nigeria where you can chase your dream to be the world’s best Geologist and not have to read Sociology or Botany instead I see a time when we are provided with the right education so that Yahoo Yahoo means and sharp practices to make ends meet.

Now open your eyes. Most people I talk to about Dream for Nigeria at first always doubt its possibility I never blame them for that cause the situations in the country has made many to lost hope about a new face of Nigeria laying out so many reasons why its will never be or happen, at least not in our lifetime by their estimation, some even laugh the thought to scorn and ask me to forget it, if you did, I hope this will be the last time…Dream Nigeria, Dare to believe.

 

Start Well

As human never limit yourself start with what you have lunch out early cause each opportunity comes calling while some wait for the bigger opportunity without not been able to see that such opportunity again they are just waiting and opening their eyes to see that they needed to start well by starting with what they have, starting well is starting by what you have that little thing that you have that you think is just little can turn you into what you’ve never dreamt of or think will be until you are loaded that’s when you’ll be needed.
